Angel In My Pocket Project

After talking to Sgt. Culberson National Guard Station in Apple Valley we were granted permission to come and present Guardian Angel Medallions and stuffed animal to the soldiers. With the help the radio station K-frog’s (Victorville) Michele Chirrick and General Mgr. John Covington getting the word about our little project. The children were able to collection 300 Guardian Angel Medallions and 500 stuffed animals thanks to Russ Berrie and Co. (Headquarter New Jersey), Arizona Pipeline, PSS Staffing, Grocery Outlet, Sterling Capital Mortgage, Mojave Copy & Printing, Domenic A. Martinelli, Apple Valley Blueprint, J's Country Floral, Clear Channel Radio, Service Rock, Products Thurlow's Heating & Air Conditioning, B. R. Tinsley Inc./Apple Valley, Southwest Gas/Victorville, Blue Diamond and Wal-Mart /Apple Valley.

Special Thanks to Rabbi Rene' Bloch, of Beth Shalom-Victorville, Pastor Denotha of Victory and Jesus in Apple Valley, Pastor Herrell of TBN and Father Taylor of Lady of the Desert in Apple Valley for their special prayers and blessing of the Guardian Angel Medallions.

On April 6th. 2002 at National Guard Station in Apple Valley. In a private ceremony Sgt. Culberson brought the company to attention The children presented the 89 soldiers of 1st. BN 185th Armor 40th INF Div. (Mech.) (Charles Company). With Stuffed animals for the love ones and Guardian Angel Medallions to carry in their pocket while their away from their families.

Since April 2002 the kids have sent out

ideas for fundraisers

The Youth Ambassadors are still sending or give out Angel Medallions four time a year. To people from all walks of life rich, poor, old young, USO Centers, soldiers servicing overseas, Service Men and Women that were recovering at Walter Reed Army Hospitals.

As of December, 2009 the kids will have given out 1800 angel cards and guardian angel medallions. Father Tony of Lady of the Desert in Apple Valley now bless and say a special prayer over the Guardian Angel Medallions. The youths used money from bake sells and recycling to buy the medallions.
