9th Annual Painting From The Heart Art Show

Entries are now being accepted from local High Desert elementary, junior high, high school and college student artists for the 9th Annual Painting From The Heart, Children and Celebrity Refrigerator Art Show. At the Paint Lab in Santa Monica California, April Saturday 10th from 6pm to 9pm

Each artist may submit (1) original painting, drawing, photos or collage. Artist may use, pencils, ink, acrylic, oil, charcoal, pastels, crayons, markers and watercolors. All entries must by 8”x11”, 9” x 12”and 11”x14” (If you are using pastels, pencil or charcoals it should be appropriately sealed). All artwork must be framed and ready to hang with an Art Show Registration Form.

The refrigerator is where it all begins; the refrigerator has traditionally been the premiere showplace for artwork and photographs for generations of American families.

This year theme: BACK TO THE BASIC “ Just express yourself “

This is not a competition, but an opportunity to showcase the talent of college, high school, junior high and elementary school student artists. Along with artwork, done by professional and celebrity artists.

Painting From The Heart Children And Celebrity Refrigerator Art Show

The art show that is put on by the Youth Ambassadors; they are a part of almost every aspect in putting on this annual show. They come up with the annual theme, design the invitations and make the guest list. They select the refreshments to be served and the music that will be played that evening.

Nancy Booth aka Queen of Salas will be serving taste creations

  • Chipotle pepper adobo sauce served with shredded smoked gouda cheese in a handcrafted pastry.
  • Roasted strawberry served with melted brie
  • Spice Islands peach roasted in balsamic vinegar served with nutmeg tea cookies

Dessert - Champagne Cupcakes

Beverage - Lemon-Grass Green Tea and Bottled Water

Music - Music that will be played that evening

  • Sade

As we do every year, we will be inviting local young artists, youths from the Moapa Indian Reservation / Las Vegas four professional feature artists and four celebrity artists will be participating in the art show this year.

The artwork done by four professional feature artists and four celebrity artists will be auctioned off, with twenty-five percent (25%) of the proceeds we be donated to the Pastor Lang of the Moapa Christian Church / Moapa Youth Center on the Moapa Indian Reservation Moapa, Nevada to the purchase of art, school supplies and other items they needed.

We will also donated ten percent(10%) of the proceeds from our limited edition 2010 Art Show Coffee Table Book will go Moapa Youth Center.
